Top Ten Things to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving

- The Thanksgiving day football games – This year there are only three games: Vikings v.s. Lions @12:30 pm, Redskins v.s. Cowboys @4:30 pm, Steelers v.s. Colts @ 8:30 pm.
- The fabulous food your family prepares for you – Maybe your mom burns the turkey a little or makes lumpy potatoes, but regardless, the feast they prepared is a once in a year event.
- All your relatives – Maybe your house on Thanksgiving is like mine and you have to deal with 27 cousins who want to spend the night.
- The possibility of not getting homework on Thanksgiving break – Let’s face it, there’s probably the one teacher who will give you a packet to do. Other than that, you won’t have other school work to stress over.
- The realization that Christmas is almost here – Christmas food, Christmas movies, and Christmas break are only a few weeks away. Can it get any better?
- You’ve made it ⅜’s of the way through this school year – Although you may be drowning in a sea of homework and extracurricular activities, you’ve made it this far, and you can make it to the end of second quarter. Don’t give up now.
- If you love getting things at extremely low prices (who doesn’t?), you have Black Friday sales to be grateful for – Let’s be realistic, we all love to buy new things and most of us can’t buy much working for minimum wage. Black Friday is the perfect holiday for savvy shoppers.
- During Thanksgiving break, you can catch up on your binge watching – Whether you use Hulu or Netflix, you have a whole week to watch 10 years worth of TV.
- You get a break from waking up early – Instead of waking up at 6:30 a.m., feel free to wake up at 11:30 a.m.
10. Pumpkin flavored things – Whether it’s a pumpkin spice latte or pumpkin pie, pumpkin flavored things are definitely something for which to be thankful.
