Gifted Education
Oak Hills Local Schools are dedicated to the idea that every student has the right to an education that provides opportunities for the maximum development of his/her potential. The district encourages, fosters, and supports educational efforts for its gifted and talented population through a continuum of services.
The school district acknowledges that these students with outstanding abilities, talents, and potential for accomplishment require educational options to meet their diverse needs. The goal of our district’s gifted program is to offer appropriate and challenging learning experiences for our students with exceptional ability.

Enrichment Opportunities
Destination Imagination
Destination Imagination is the largest problem-solving organization in the world. We are looking for teams of 2-5 students to show their strengths and talents. Students will be given a choice from a variety of challenges to complete and then will have the opportunity to shine by using their own unique abilities and talents. Parent volunteers are also needed to be team managers. Team managers cannot help with the team challenge, but they will help to facilitate the process. Team managers choose the day and time of team practices to best fit their schedule. For more information, visit: Destination Imagination.
Mad Science
Mad Science is an after-school enrichment workshop offered through Oak Hills Community Ed. These unique hands-on, minds-on, learning experiences cover topics ranging from bugs to kitchen chemistry to the science of toys! All school-aged children are eligible. Both fall and winter programs take place an hour/week for 6 weeks. Visit the Community Education page to register!
