Upcoming OHHS Art and Design Events

This February the 4th annual SOS ART Youth Exhibition and Events will be hosted at OHHS. For the past 4 years, National Art Honor Society students have coordinated this exhibition and event with Southwestern Ohio public and private schools, community centers, and individual artists. To date, we've had over 700 participants from K-12 communicating their ideas regarding peace and justice through their artwork and musical performances. This year we will be adding a new component...a partnership with ArtHaus from the Kibera Arts District and House of Friends gallery in Kenya. Representatives from HOF will be bringing the artwork and any recorded performance or writings for inclusion in this year's event. Next week, on October 10th, there will be an opening reception for "Journeys to Healing", an exhibition on healing and overcoming trauma through art. This exhibition will be on view at the Contemporary Arts Center through October in coordination with the Zonta Club of Cincinnati. OHHS Art and Design teacher, Jamie Schorsch, will be exhibiting new work in "Journeys to Healing" alongside alumni Autumn Shelton ('18) and area artists. Schorsch will also be giving an artist talk at the CAC on October 12th, from 1-3pm. To learn more visit: https://www.
