OHHS Marching Band: Mason Recap

The OHHS Marching Band is proud to announce having taken 4th place in Open class and 6th place overall out of 23 bands at this past Saturday's Mason Invitational. It was once again an incredibly tight finish. The students have been working tirelessly and we are incredibly proud of them!
Special mentions include:
•4th overall in Ensemble Music Performance
•4th overall in Music General Effect
•Finishing only 3.5 points behind the event's Grand Champion in Total Music
•2nd overall in the Execution Sub-Caption of Individual Visual Performance
•2nd overall in the Content Sub-Caption for Percussion
•3rd overall in Total Percussion
•Oak Hills finished 6th overall with a 70.05. For comparison, 5th place: 70.10, 4th place: 71.15, 3rd place: 71.75, 2nd place: 71.9, and the event’s Grand Champion at 76.85.
Another big thank you to all those who came out to support us this past weekend. We next compete on 10/26 at Simon Kenton High School (11132 Madison Pike, Independence KY, 41051) @ 9:15pm, again as 1 of 23 competing bands, for our last regular competition of the season. We will then wrap things up by competing in the MSBA Open Class Championships for the first time ever on 11/9 @ Mason HS.
