This year's Cincinnati nonprofit partners are International Partner, CARE International; Cincinnati Partner, Hamilton County Commission on Women and Girls, led by Denise Driehaus; Community Partner: Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati; and Corporate Partner, TEMPOE/Sarah Haucke. This year's Day of the Girl Cincinnati Team included: Fatima Ba, Jenny Brady, Maggie Brennen, Ellen Carmichael, Nadya Ellerhorst, Grace Haucke, Sarah Haucke, Jenny Hu, Brionna Jones, Isabella Lambrinides, Bess Lindeman, Mary Rose Lierman, Anna MacLennan, Jillian Meters, Megan Sullivan, Kinsey Sullivan, and Shoshi Stern.
Day of the Girl Cincinnati was founded by Jenny Brady in 2012 The 2019 Day of the Girl Cincinnati Celebration theme is “Speaking Out and Looking In” will be highlighting women’s and girls’ voices on body positivity, inner strength, public leadership and activism, menstrual equity, pay equity and career paths. Through personal stories, lessons learned and words of encouragement, we want to ignite the next generation of leaders and inspire all people to use their voices and harness their inner strength to affect positive change in our communities and our world.
This year, Day of the Girl Cincinnati will be exhibiting the work of some of the strong female artists in our youth community. There have been three students selected for the exhibition from OHHS! Congratulations to Alaina Broughton, Mayson Reperowitz, and Maiya Taft who will be exhibiting at this year's event!

Day of the Girl is an international observance day declared by the United Nations. The purpose of hosting a local event is three-fold:
1. Increase awareness of inequality faced by girls worldwide based upon their gender.
2. Galvanize enthusiasm for goals to better girls' lives, providing an opportunity for them to show leadership and reach their full potential.
