Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Cole Burton Academic Quiz Team Soph.
Cole has been a tremendous leader on the Academic Team this season. He has been one of the most consistent players on a team that graduated all of our varsity players from last year. He has also been a welcoming and encouraging presence for a team in which 2/3 of the players are brand new. Cole also works hard in the classroom as he is currently ranked #1 in the Sophomore class.:
Mitchell Ferguson Boys' Wrestling Jr.
Mitchell went 7-0 this week. Helping lead the team to 4 dual victories over Little Miami, Fairfield, Lakota East, and Hamilton. Mitchell has a 4.0 and is in the top 10% of his class. Currently, he has all As and 1 B in AP/ Honor classes.
Lilliana Anderson Girls' Wrestling Soph.
Lillie has been on an upward progression this season! She has placed fourth and third in her last two tournaments and hasn’t lost a dual match in the last couple of weeks!
Anabelle Hageman Girls' Swimming Jr.
Annabelle is a 3rd year Varsity swimmer that is a true joy to have on the team. She always has a positive attitude and encourages her teammates in and out of the pool. Last weekend, Annabelle competed in the GMC Championship Meet and accomplished several personal best times! She finished 11th in the 50 Free with a time of 27.14 and 9th in the 100 Free with a time of 100.07. Annabelle was, also, a member of the 6th place 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays. We look forward to Annabelle swimming faster this weekend at Sectionals!

Will is in his 3rd year and is a Captain on the swim team. He has achieved much success throughout the season and has been a wonderful addition to the team captains.
