Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Kayla Freeman Girls' Bowling Sr
Kayla Freeman showed up in a big way to the 2023-2024 girls bowling tryouts last week! Kayla will officially be making the jump from the Varsity B team last year to a starter on the Varsity A team. In addition to making the Varsity A squad, Kayla also rolled a new personal best high game of 241! After joining the team her Sophomore year and making the JV team, she has truly put in the work to become a leader of the bowling team for her Senior year.
Bruno Rocha Leal Boys' Swimming Sr
Bruno has come to Oak Hills from Brazil and has joined the Swim Team this year. He is an extremely hard worker and dedicated to improving his strokes. Bruno has the chance to make some huge waves this year! Let's go Bruno!
Roukaia Mandour Girls' Swimming Sr
Roukaia is an exchange student from Egypt and has joined the swim team this year. Her hard work and dedication to making any and all improvements to her strokes is evident at every practice. We look forward to Rue's first swim meet of the season!
Jackson Lowe Boys' Basketball Sr
Jackson has been in the Boys' Basketball program since his elementary years. He came back from a dislocated kneecap injury suffered early in the fall of last season. Jackson is an excellent young man who sacrifices for the team, helping his teammates improve and adding value to our program. He has a 4.0 GPA, taking an Honors and AP course schedule.
