Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

 
EJ Schneider              Boys' Cross Country            Jr
EJ ran a lifetime best at the Milford Invitational on Saturday for the second week in a row. He was the 3rd runner for Highlanders. EJ has been a great leader for our team so far this season and is one of our 3 team captains.
 
Brooke Lint Girls' Tennis Fr
Brooke Lint, a freshman, has been a big contribution to the team. She currently has 8 wins at singles and a doubles win on the season. Her biggest wins include victories over Badin and Lakota East. Brooke carries a 4.0 GPA and wants to go to medical school.   
 
Kayla Robinson               Girls' Volleyball            Soph
Kayla had 18 digs against Mason and 12 digs against Edgewood. She maintains a 4.0 GPA in all honors classes.
 
Erykah Cornett Girls' Soccer Sr
Erykah, a senior captain, broke the school record for most career assists, this past week. She scored 1 goal and had 4 assists against Princeton which gives her 34 career assists. The previous record was 30 for the program. Erykah currently leads the GMC in points (26) and assists (10).   
 
Cece Sommer              Girls' Cross Country          Soph
Cece placed as the team's #7 runner at the Troy Twilight Invitational on Saturday helping her team to a third place finish out of 17 teams. She ran a personal best time by over a minute, running a time of 20:50. She is a determined and hard working athlete.
