Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Brady Sabin         Boys' Bowling            Soph
Brady rolled a 648 series at Districts finishing 24th overall individually and helping the team finish 5th and earn a spot advancing to state.
 
Tanner Iles Boys' Bowling Fr
Tanner rolled a 617 series at Districts to help the team finish 5th and advance to State. Tanner also is averaging over 206 on the season and was selected for GMC first team.  
 
Adham Shalash           Wrestling               Sr
Adham Shalash finished 2nd in the Sectional Tournament and qualified for the District Tournament. He went 2-2, falling one match short of placing at the District Tournament. This capped off a great senior season. He led the team in wins with 24 wins and 15 wins by pin.
 
Kenzie Goff Girls' Bowling Jr
Kenzie ended the 2021-2022 girls bowling season with a bang! At the Sectionals and Districts tournaments over the past 2 weeks, she averaged 171.5 per game, almost 35 pins above her average. At the Districts Tournament, she rolled her new personal best series of 513 and new high game of 191, finishing 62nd individually among the best bowlers in the Southwest District!   
 
Cole Dietrich           Boys' Basketball               Jr
Cole was a student assistant for Boys' Basketball. He was a huge help because he did a variety of duties to assist with practice and/or games. He set up before practice and cleaned up after practice, charted stats, kept the clock and score, helped with video and in game stats, and every once a while made a few jump shots in practice. Cole is also a very good student, earning a 3.5 GPA.
 
Kaden Taylor          Boys' Basketball               Soph
Kaden was a student assistant for Boys' Basketball. He was a huge help because he did a variety of duties to assist with practice and/or games. He set up before practice and cleaned up after practice, charted stats, kept the clock and score, helped with video and in game stats, and every once a while made a few jump shots in practice. Kaden is also a very good student, earning a 3.8 GPA.
