Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Mason Bencurik        Boys' Swimming           Jr
Mason has qualified for districts with 2 relays and both of his individuals. He qualified 9th in the 100 free and 13th in the 200 free. He is a part of the record-holding 400 free relay and aims to break more records this year.
 
Cade Grimmett Boys' Swimming Sr
Cade has been a top performer for the team all four years at Oak Hills. Cade has once again qualified for districts in both of his individuals and is planning to lead both of his relays to state. He qualified in the 200 free 18th and 13th in the 100 fly going into the meet this weekend with hopes of qualifying state in all four.  
 
Petal Sloan           Girls' Swimming     Soph
Petal leads the girl swimmers to her second trip to districts. She is a key member of the 200 and 400 free relay that qualified for the district meet this weekend. She also performed personal best in the 50 and 100 free events at sectionals qualifying her 8th in the 50 free and 19th in the 100 free.
 
Anna Campbell Girls' Basketball Fr
Anna, a freshman guard, came off the bench in the sectional tournament game vs. St. Ursula and was 4 of 7 from the field, including 2-4 from three point range, to score a career-high 10 points. She also added a rebound, an assist and a steal. Anna is an outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA.  
 
Rylee Dissinger               Girls' Basketball     Fr
Rylee, a freshman forward, came off the bench in the sectional tournament game vs. St. Ursula and grabbed 4 rebounds, recorded 3 assists, had a steal and scored 2 points. She also did a great job on defense battling inside for Oak Hills. Rylee is an outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA.
 
Jacob Ramstetter Boys' Basketball Sr
Jacob, a multi-sport athlete and senior captain, scored 30 points and had 10 rebounds in last week's two games. Jacob is an outstanding student, earning over a 4.0 GPA in AP and Honors classes.
