Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Riley Grove Soph Girls' Volleyball
Riley is a sophomore that started in some position every game this season. She was thrown into a position no one wants to play due to an injury and didn't complain at all! She ended her sophomore season with 108 kills, 21 digs and 24 blocks. She was 3rd on the team in kills and 2nd on team with blocks. Off the court, Riley is on Student Council and carries a 4.0 GPA. Riley is also a member of the basketball team at Oak Hills.
Will Young Sr Football
Will Young helped the Highlanders win the field position battle vs Princeton last Friday night. Young totaled 223 yards on 6 punts with an average of 37.2 yards. Young also had a long of 51 yards & 2 punts inside the 20. He helped set up the Highlanders lone touchdown by converting a fake punt with a 16 yard pass on 4th & 8 where the Highlanders scored the very next play from scrimmage. He also had 1 catch for 12 yards to finish his game.
Logan Hehman Jr Football
Logan Hehman was all over the field last Friday vs the Princeton Vikings. Hehman had 2 kick-off returns for 22 yards with a long of 17 yards. He helped convert a 4th & 8 on a fake punt by catching a 16-yard pass from Will Young to help set up the Highlanders lone score of the game next play from scrimmage. Defensively, Logan had 5 total tackles with 3 pass breakups.
Devin Holt Jr Football
Devin Holt was an offensive juggernaut against the Princeton Vikings last Friday. He accounted for 185 yards out of the Highlanders 209 total offensive yards. Holt was 8/25 passing for 54 yards & had 131 yards rushing with an average of 8.2 a carry and one touchdown.
Emily Tirey Sr Girls' Soccer
Emily a four-year varsity soccer player (2-year captain), ended her high school soccer career this past week. Sidelined her senior year with an injury, she battled, rehabbed, and made a debut for senior night and the tournament match this past week. Emily has been a great teammate and leader throughout her career at Oak Hills. She also takes 2 AP courses and 2 Honors courses.
Alyssa Hammond Fr Girls' Cross Country
Alyssa's race contributed to the Girls' Cross Country Team qualifying for regionals for the first time since 2011.
Julia Hageman Fr Girls' Cross Country
Julia's race contributed to the Girls' Cross Country Team qualifying for regionals for the first time since 2011.
Megan Huth Jr Girls' Cross Country
Megan's race contributed to the Girls' Cross Country Team qualifying for regionals for the first time since 2011.
Megan John Jr Girls' Cross Country
Megan's race contributed to the Girls' Cross Country Team qualifying for regionals for the first time since 2011.
Emma Lucas Soph Girls' Cross Country
Emma's race contributed to the Girls' Cross Country Team qualifying for regionals for the first time since 2011.
Anabelle McDonald Fr Girls' Cross Country
Anabelle's race contributed to the Girls' Cross Country Team qualifying for regionals for the first time since 2011.
Maria Olson Fr Girl's Cross Country
Maria's race contributed to the Girls' Cross Country Team qualifying for regionals for the first time since 2011.
