Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Alex Kumler Girls' Lacrosse Soph.
Alex has improved greatly over the course of this season. She had an exceptional last two weeks, with 1 goal against Miamisburg and 2 goals against Princeton. She has such a positive attitude and she is always interested in how she can get better. Her grit and drive on the field is what makes her stand out.
Sydney Lehman Girls' Track Fr.
Sydney is the top point scorer for Oak Hills so far this season, and she is only a freshman! Sydney specializes in the short sprints, boasting current season bests of 12.45 in the 100m and 25.80 in the 200m. At the Harrison Invitational, she finished 3rd in the 100m and 200m and was part of the winning 4x100 relay team.
Tyson Watt Boys' Track Fr.
Tyson has proven himself to be one of the most reliable guys on the team, even though this is just his first year. At the Harrison Invitational, he was asked to drop an individual event to fill a spot on a relay, and at the end of the meet was asked to join the 4x400 relay in the last minute. Tyson gladly helped the team and did an amazing job. He was part of the 1st place 4x400, 2nd place 4x100 and 4th place 4x200 relays. He also added a 6th place finish in the 200m dash.
Owen Huff Boys' Track Fr.
Owen is an incredibly focused and determined freshman who competes with the maturity of a seasoned upperclassman. His positive attitude and unwavering work ethic make him ready and eager to take on any workout. Owen leads the team in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters, and ranks among the top three in the 400. His impressive range and versatility allow him to excel across events—from the speed of the 400 to the endurance of the 3200.
Aleah Coster Girls' Track Soph.
Aleah has been a steady front-runner all season, consistently leading the pack. At the Harrison meet, she delivered an impressive kick in the final 100 meters of the 4x800 relay, helping secure the win for her team with a personal-best split. She capped off the meet by taking first place in the 3200 meters as well.
Wil Kraus Baseball Sr.
Wil Kraus had 7 hits in 11 at bats .636 BA scoring 6 runs, with 4 RBI's and a triple. He is a member of SALT (Student Leadership) and FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). Also, Wil is a multi-sport athlete with a 4.425 GPA.
Bryson Duncan Boys' Lacrosse Jr.
Over spring break in our only game, Bryson Duncan stepped up for us and scored 5 goals. Although we did not win, his contribution to the game was crucial in giving us the lead going into halftime and continued to give the team a boost throughout the 2nd half.
Emma Messinger Softball Sr.
Sr 3b Emma Messinger had another solid week going 3/6 (.500) in two GMC match-ups against Fairfield and Lakota East. Emma has led the Highlanders offensively this season hitting .585 with 14 rbi, 9 doubles, 1 triple and a HR. Emma also scored 16 of the team's runs. Not only has she been hot on offense she's been a defensive standout making game changing clutch plays at 3b. Emma has a 4.259 GPA as well.
Sasha Emmrich Softball Soph
Sophomore catcher, Sasha Emmrich had a solid week last week going 3/7 (.428) in league match-ups against Fairfield and Lakota East.Sasha is hitting .452 on the season with 4 doubles, 3 home runs and 15 RBI. She has also been a defensive threat behind the plate for the Highlanders. Also, Sasha has a 4.138 GPA.
