Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Ben Doerman           Boys' Tennis                Soph
Ben has started the season out great with 3 wins and earned a 2nd place finish in the best of the west tournament this weekend.

Matthew Bertram               Boys' Track                      Sr.
Matthew was the top point earner for the Highlanders at Coaches Classic.  He was part of the winning shuttle hurdles, 4th place 4x1, 4th place pole vault and 5th place 4x2 relays.  He didn't stop warming up and competing from 4:00 until 9:15.  Due to all his duties, he was unable to dedicate adequate focus to pole vault, his primary event, but selflessly carried the team with his many talents.

Ellie Thompson                    Girls' Track                 Soph.
Only three weeks into the season and Ellie has already had many impressive performances.  At Coaches Classic, she was part of the winning shuttle hurdles, 3rd place distance medley and 6th place long jump relays.  She was asked to step into long jump and the distance medley last minute, which she did without hesitation or complaint.  It is great to have a reliable team member like Ellie!

Brayden Lipps                      Baseball                       Sr.
Brayden pitched in 2 GMC games, 7 1/3 innings picking up a win vs Hamilton and a save vs Lakota East, while surrendering 0 runs on 1 hit.
