Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Monica Norng    Girls Track        Jr.
Monica has shown a great deal of dedication this preseason.  She is among the hardest workers on the team and has brought positivity to practice with her demeanor.  Monica's leadership qualities have grown, with her willingness to set a good example and help carry out jobs passed down to her by the coaching staff.  
 
Dizyre Gordon                 Boys' Track                     Jr.
Dizyre has had one of the largest improvements on the team, compared to last season.  Athletically and academically, it is clear that he has developed his priorities and surely has some big goals this season.  We look forward to seeing how this new version of Dizyre performs this year.  
 
Emma Messinger                  Softball                            Sr.
Senior 3B Emma Messinger is a 2 year varsity letter winner. She is one of our Sr captains leading the way for our young squad this season. Emma started the opening weekend hitting.600 ave, collecting 3 doubles, 2 RBI, and scoring 3 runs. She also sparked the defense by making several outstanding diving plays at 3rd base. Emma is currently in firefighting school part time which she will continue to pursue after graduation.
 
Nate Triantafilou                   Boys' Lacrosse                      Sr.
Nate had a great week of practice to help prepare us for the start of games this week. He is always giving extra effort and setting a good example of what it looks like to play Highlander lacrosse!
