Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Annaliese Szabo                        Softball                              Jr.
Annaliese is a returning Junior varsity pitcher. She has stood out this season putting in countless hours improving her pitching form and technique. She has stood out not only with her improvement in pitching but her hitting and outfield work reflect how hard she’s worked this off-season. Annaliese has shown a great deal of team leadership by leading by example, working hard and focusing on ways to get better. She also stands out in the classroom with a 4.69 Gpa. Great job, Annaliese. 
 
Xavier Wasson                         Baseball                         Fr.
Xavier attended every single workout starting September 9th.  That includes weight lifting sessions, open fields, open cages, and individualized workouts.  He attended ALL 99 workouts.
 
Chase Dissinger                       Boys' Volleyball               Jr.
Chase has demonstrated tremendous work ethic over the last year in preparation for this season. A true definition of "First in, last out" mentality, and always putting the team first. The growth he's had, both physically and mentally in the last year, has set the standard for our program. 
 
Victor Benken                         Boys' Lacrosse                      Sr.
Victor has had a great start to his senior season. He had 6 goals and 5 assists in our scrimmage against Edgewood on Friday. 
 
Danielle Benken                        Girls' Lacrosse                         Fr.
Danielle has shown up to the first week of practice with a positive attitude. She is always ready to work, and is a model student-athlete on and off the field. We are excited to see how Danielle performs in her first high school scrimmage on March 20th against Harrison.
