Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week! 
 
Andrew Goedde                      Boys' Basketball          Jr.
Andrew has provided many valuable minutes off the bench this year. He is a good athlete who works extremely hard at his skills. Andrew has been extremely coachable and is a great teammate. He is also an excellent student with a 4.036 GPA. 
 
Isabelle Barkley                  Girls' Wrestling                      Jr.
Isabelle placed Second at the Northmont Invitational, which helped lead the way to a Fourth place finish by the Oak Hills Women's Wrestling team. 
 
Dillon Ditton                         Boys' Wrestling              Fr.                
Dillon Ditton finished first at the Buckeye Freshman Invitational in Centerville. He had a strong performance, winning his first three matches with falls over his opponents. In his final match, he won by major decision.
 
Jett Sloan                       Boys' Swimming                      Soph
Over the weekend, Jett swam in the Southwest Ohio Coaches Classic Swim meet and qualified for Finals both nights.  He recorded several personal records in multiple events.  On Saturday night, Jett placed 9th in the 200 Free with a best time of 1:45.39 and 7th in the 50 Free with a time of 21.99.  Sunday evening, he placed 6th in the 100 Free with a time of 47.70.  Jett is a Sophomore on the team and we can't wait to see what he does at the end of the season!  Congrats Jett!
 
Annabelle Hageman                    Girls' Swimming                      Sr.
Over the weekend, Annabelle swam in the Southwest Ohio Coaches Classic Swim meet and recorded some of her fastest times of the season.  She swam her fastest 100 Freestyle in a 100.11 in the regular event and a 59.58 in the 400 Medley Relay.  Annabelle has recorded her fastest 50 Freestyle time of 27.67 this season and a 26.85 in the 400 Medley Relay.  She participated in other events, as well, swimming fast and helping her teammates do the same.  Annabelle is a Senior looking to break 1:00 in her 100 Free and swim below 26.00 in the 50 Free by the end of the season.  Congrats and Good Luck, Annabelle!
 
Nikolaus Tripathy         Academic Team                            Soph
Nikolaus has had a great start to the Academic Quiz Team season.  Nikolaus brings a great deal of quick thinking intelligence to each match.  He is one of the top players on our team and one of the top students in the Class of 2027!  
 
Maddie Broxterman              Girls Bowling                       Jr.
Junior Maddie Broxterman had a fantastic performance during the Girls Bowling match vs. Princeton at Gilmore Lanes last Thursday. Maddie led the team with a total series of 431 pins, including her new personal best game, a 252! This helped lead the Varsity A team to remain undefeated in the GMC.
 
Ella Weinmann                              Girls' Bowling                              Jr.
Over the past week, Junior Ella Weinmann has been on fire! Between the match at Princeton last Thursday and two different tournaments over the weekend, Ella averaged more than 190 pins per game! This included a great performance at the Centerville Sweet 16 Shootout where Ella made the All-Tournament Team with the 6th highest series of the tournament!
