Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Alli Roman Girls' Golf Sr.
Alli is a 3rd year varsity Senior & has been a significant asset to our team. This year, she made the most improvement of all 4 of her high school years together! She consistently improved her score all season & simply became a true golfer - supporting & encouraging others while becoming independent in her skills on the course!
Natalie Reed Girls' Soccer Sr.
Natalie is a four year varsity starter, that has been a huge part to the Highlanders backline. She has helped the team earn its 18th win of the season, 16th overall shutout and 13th consecutive shutout this week. Natalie also gets it done in the classroom while taking all honors and college level classes.
Colin Klaserner Boys' Cross Country Jr.
When the end of a season is on the line, it is not always easy for a runner to put together their best race. The feat to channel stress and pressure into positive energy takes a calm, experienced athlete. Colin managed to do all of this and make it look easy. He ran his best race ever in a time of 17:07, crossing the line as the second Oak Hills athlete at the District Championship. Colin is one of our team captains and a 3 sport varsity athlete.
Maryn Osterfeld Girls' Cross Country Fr
Maryn has had an exceptional freshman season, earning a varsity letter through her hard work and dedication. She always comes to practice prepared to give her best, pushing herself each day to improve. As a positive and supportive teammate, she has contributed greatly to the team's success. Her perseverance and commitment resulted in a personal best time of 21:13 in her final race of the season.
Lincoln Schreiber Football Soph
Lincoln Schreiber started at quarterback in a win vs. Fairfield. He was 23-37 for 269 yards (1 TD pass) and had 6 rushing attempts with a big run for his longest gain of 22 yards. Lincoln is a 3 sport athlete with a GPA of 4.53.
Max Rhodes Football Jr
Max led the defense in a win over Fairfield. He had 12 solo tackles and 6 assists. Also, he had a crucial fumble recovery on the goal line as Fairfield was about to score a TD. In addition, Max punts for the Highlanders. He is a multi-sport athlete with a 4.0 GPA.
Max Supe Football Sr.
Max Supe had a versatile performance in a win over Fairfield. He caught 16 passes for 151 yards and 1 TD. He also wa 2 for 3 passing for 58 yards. And he had 7 rushes with a long gain of 13 yards and 1 rushing TD. Max is a multi sport athlete with a GPA of 4.71.
