Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Yasmeen Masri          Girls' Tennis                Jr
Yasmeen had a good week picking up two wins against GMC opponents. The first coming in doubles with partner Reilly Murphy against Colerain and the second came in Yasmeen's first appearance in singles this year winning in dominant fashion. Both these wins helped the team win and moved the squad to 8-3.

Colin Klaserner          Boys' Cross Country Jr.
Colin, who is one of our captains, has done an excellent job the past several weeks leading the team by example and word. His work ethic is exemplary, he makes sure to take care of all the little details that it takes to become great and he takes the time to shepherd his teammates when they drift astray.

Adam Hoeting      Boys' Soccer Sr.
Adam led Oak Hills to our first victory of the season by netting three goals against Hamilton in a 4-0 win. What was astounding is that all three goals were scored off set play head balls! Adam has a 3.58 GPA.

Abdoulie  Manneh            Boys' Soccer           Soph
Abdoulie scored his first varsity goal against Hamilton in a 4-0 win, helping lead us to our first win of the year.

Lexi Holzbacher         Girls' Golf                 Soph.
Lexi is a huge asset to the Girls' Varsity golf team! She's played in every match & tournament this season & has been the 1st or 2nd best scorer every time! In last week's GMC tournament, she earned 2nd team, all conference. She is consistent, level-headed & dedicated to the team. She works hard during her season & throughout the off-season to improve her skills.

Mariah helped her team earn 3 big wins this past week by scoring 5 goals in 3 games. Her speed, technical skill and ability to finish, has helped the Highlanders pick up big wins down a hard stretch of games against Hamilton, Seton and Mason.

Anna Price              Girls' Cross  Country                          Sr.
