Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Cornelius Boyd      Boys' Track        Soph
During his first two years competing in track and field, Cornellius has had many ups and downs, like most athletes. However, what has defined him towards the end of his sophomore year has been his ability to rally back from disappointments. Cornellius was the anchor on the 4x200m relay team that finished 4th at the district championships. His performances in both the qualifying round and the finals were outstanding and helped Oak Hills upset several teams who were ranked faster.

Keira Castleman     Girls' Lacrosse      Soph
Keira played a great game in our tournament game against Seton on Friday. Between her quickness and her determination, she was crucial in getting the ball up the field. Her Varsity debut Friday showed how essential she will be to our team next season and beyond. Keep up the great work, Keira!

Garrett Kessling    Boys' Lacrosse          Sr.
Garrett has come back from injury to help us in our tournament run. Garrett has dedicated 4 years to the lacrosse program and we cannot thank him enough for how much he has helped his teammates and coaches grow. He graduated with a 4.0 GPA and will go on to advance his academic and athletic career at Walsh University.

Julian Harris      Boys' Lacrosse      Soph
Julian has come a long way since he started his freshman year. He came in as a goalie and made the switch to close defense. Since he has done that he has been a rotating starter and continues to make progress each day. We are looking forward to seeing him continue to develop over the course of his career.
