Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

ongratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Brady Sabin Boys' Bowling Sr.
Brady helped lead the team to a district runner up spot and become state qualifiers rolling a 726 series. This series was the second highest out of all the participants at Districts. Brady's energy and leadership has helped the team continue to have success this season.
Casey LeCount Boys' Bowling Sr.
Casey rolled a 634 series at Districts which helped the team become state qualifiers. Casey has stepped us this season and has been nothing but consistent which has helped the team have success.
Chazz Tallarigo Boys' Wrestling Jr.
Chazz went 3-2 on the weekend finishing 4th in the District Tournament and Qualifying for the OHSAA State Tournament this weekend.
Cora Mundstock Girls' Bowling Sr.
Senior Cora Mundstock had an incredible season. She finished 2nd in the GMC, earning 1st team All-GMC honors with an average of 178.5 pins per game, a high game of 228, a high 2 game series of 411, and a high 3 game series of 618. She had 4 All tournament team placements, including one first place finish at the GMC Conference Clash. At Districts last week, she just missed out on heading to the State tournament, finishing 11th overall individually with a fantastic series of 597.
Trenton Murphy Boys' Basketball Sr.
Senior captain Trent Murphy helped the Boys' Basketball program have a very good second half of the season. He showed phenomenal leadership and commitment, working extremely hard, shooting early mornings at least twice a week and excelling with his play in practice and games. He is a multi-sport student athlete (Baseball) with a 4.0 GPA. He will attend Purdue-Ft. Wayne next year on a Baseball/Academic scholarship.
Bobby Stidham Boys' Basketball Sr.
Senior captain Bobby Stidham helped the Boys' Basketball program have a very good second half of the season. He showed phenomenal leadership and commitment, working extremely hard, and excelling with his play in practice and games. Bobby worked a job in HVAC most every weekday during our season as part of his Vocational Education. He is a multi-sport student athlete (Football), and he will enter the workforce after graduation in the field of HVAC.
