GMC athletes of the week
Congratulations to our Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week:
Week of Sept. 10th -
Carson Lewis Sr. Boys' Soccer
Carson scored once directly off a corner kick and had an assist in a 4-0 win at Kettering Fairmont.
Sam Herzog Sr. Boys' Cross Country
Senior captain Sam Herzog has been one of the biggest keys to our success so far this year. Before the season started, he was not predicted to be in our top 5, but Sam has solidified himself as a scoring member of the varsity team. He was the third Oak Hills runner at Princeton on Saturday as the Highlanders won the boys race.
Emma Lucas Fr. Girls' Cross Country
Freshman Emma Lucas has been the team's number 2 runner for the first three meets of the season. At the Princeton Invitational, this past Saturday Emma placed 3rd out of 111 runners.
Mia Ziebro Soph Girls' Tennis
Mia got a huge win over Fairfield on Tuesday to help the team clinch a 3-2 victory. Mia is now 8-4 at singles this year.
Thalia Georges Sr. Girls' Volleyball
Senior Libero Thalia Georges led Oak Hills to a come from behind win over McNicholas on Tuesday night. For the week, Thalia contributed 7 aces, 35 digs and a 2.21 passer rating to lead us to three wins for the week.
AJ Kontsis Soph Boys' Golf
AJ Kontsis was Medalist with an even par round of 36 vs. Hamilton at Indian Ridge Golf Club.
