Freedom Center Trip by OHHS Students
Posted on: February 26, 2019 10:00 am
The Oak Hills High School Student Union of Diversity In Action or SUDIA Club took a trip to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in celebration of Black History Month. Students learned about the struggles for equality that different groups have experienced including African Americans, Native Americans, and Women. They were also given the opportunity to investigate what it means to be a modern-day freedom fighter and how they can be a force for good in the world around them.
