The exhibition, now in its 3rd year, is a collaboration between the National Art Honor Society members of Oak Hills High School, SOS ART, and the art educators of Southwest Ohio. This year, we will be featuring the work of over 250 students from: OHHS, Butler Tech School of the Arts, St. Ursula Academy, Mount Notre Dame, Seton, Princeton High School, Taylor High School, Sycamore High School, Mariemont High School, Summit Country Day School, and Frederick Douglass Elementary School. SOS ART

"This piece was made to represent those who are and have fought for human rights. I feel very connected to a topic like this because of the fact that some of my rights are what people have been fighting for, for years and still are to this day. In my art, I wish to shine a light on the fundamental principles of human rights such as equality, freedom, and dignity. I hope to show empathy and understanding of what people have had to go through just so that they could be represented properly. Along with helping others connect and relate with issues that they personally are dealing with. I believe that art does have the power to inspire action and create a more inclusive and just world for all of us. To make this piece I used a linocut technique, first sketching out my design then transferring it, and finally cutting it out to make my own unique print".
