AP Updates and OHHS Guidance
This information is updated as information from College Board is released. The information provides guidance that is specific to OHHS. Students and Teachers should use the links below to find specific information related to their individual courses.

Instruction:

The course specific content should be used to guide instruction

An OHHS remote learning AP Schedule has been created to provide 1 hour of dedicated time for AP Instruction each week. Students with conflicts should communicate with their teachers. Students and Teachers are also free to meet outside of this hour.

Teachers may meet virtually with whole & small groups. One-to-one virtual meetings are prohibited.

Students and teachers can attend free, live AP review courses, delivered by AP teachers from across the country. These will also be recorded and on-demand.

These courses can be found on the AP YouTube channel. The list of courses with times can be found here.

AP Classroom FRQ's have been unlocked and can be assigned to students for practice.

Practice tests and video demonstrations will be provided to students/teachers and are highly encouraged to be used as a resource.

All tests are considered open note/book. This resource provides tips to practice with open note/book.

Summative assessments may only be given if students are provided remediation and able to revise their scores.

Testing:

Students MUST test on their specific date.

If there is an internet or computer issue students will have one more opportunity to test during the make-up period.

If a Student has a conflict with mutiple tests falling at the same time; please notify Chris Shaffer, Testing Coordinator; [email protected]. Students will complete additional tests during the make-up period.

Most tests are an at-home 45-minute online test with FRQ's only. No MCQ's will be administered.*

Reduced content and modified grading may result in a higher passing rate; all students are encouraged to take the test

*Students in an AP Portfolio course and AP World Language students have much different testing situations. Refer to the course specific testing items

Students may opt-out of testing and receive a FULL refund of testing fees. The requests must be received no later than April 30th, 2020.

Students should complete the Opt-out form and return it to Chris Shaffer. We will also accept parent emails without a form. If a parent emails you please forward it to Shaffer asap.

Students who previously canceled their test will now receive a full refund

Students who previously opted out of testing are no longer eligible to test

If a student has not opted-out, but does not take the test, they will NOT receive a refund from OHHS.
Accomodations (More information will be released April 10th, 2020)

Student accommodations were approved in January when the student’s counselor submitted a request.

The required accommodation will automatically be provided during testing, through the online format.

Extended time will be modified accordingly and provided via the online format
