2017 Congressional Art Competition Exhibition & Awards
Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated. Students submit entries to their representative’s office, and panels of district artists select the winning entries. Winners are recognized both in their district and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. The winning works are displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol. 2nd place artwork will be displayed in Chabot's D.C. office and additional runners-up will be displayed in the Cincinnati and Warren County district offices.

Stay tuned for information regarding voting for pieces and who advances! The award ceremony will be held at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center on Monday, May 8 at 6:00 p.m. Work will be on display from May 8 until May 12.
