Jasmine Mueller is honored with the National African American Recognition Award.
The prestigious honor is given to African American or Black students who excelled on the PSAT or on two or more Advanced Placement exams.
Jasmine, a National Honor Society member and four-year member of Student Council, has taken 10 Advanced Placement classes during her four years at OHHS. She is also a highly valued member of the OHHS Writing Center, where she helps other students hone their writing skills, and was a member of the HOPE Squad and a three-year member of the softball team.
Jasmine has had a long-time goal of becoming a psychologist and is in the process of choosing a college. "I wanted to grow up to be independent and strong," she says. "I have a younger sister, and I wanted her to know that you can do things even when people tell you that you can't."
The Oak Hills Local School District is incredibly proud of Jasmine's accomplishments, contributions and character. We wish you a future of joy, purpose and success, Jasmine!
