Wellness Policy
Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand! The Child Nutrition department is made up of a dedicated team of food and nutrition professionals that are focused on our students' health and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and education.
Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
We strive to create a school environment where students can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our goal is to equip Oak Hills students with the essential skills they need for lifelong success.
Are you interested in helping to make Oak Hills a healthier, happier place to learn and grow? Email Kelly Weldele, District Food Service Director, at [email protected] to inquire about opportunities to participate on the District Wellness Committee.
