Teachers are chosen from every building in the district.  We use Title IIA funds to provide a $500.00 stipend to each eLc each year.  The teachers all have a full student course load, this is an supplemental role.  For 2011-12:

  • Elementary (5 buildings): 23
  • Middle (3 buildings): 15
  • High (1 building): 15

The number per level and per building is determined on the initiatives that year in eLearning & technology, and population of building. A complete description can be found here.

eKIDs

eKIDs are students in the district who participate an eLearning educational track. Their responsibilities include learning new technologies (often at a deep level), assisting staff with technology needs, and developing additional eLearning opportunities.

Students involved in the program in grades 6-12 are able to receive high school credit upon successful completion of the course.  The courses are very project-based and success is measured based on rubrics. eKIDs are coached and supported by assigned eLcs.

Principals

Principals attend our monthly eLearning Team meetings, and provide the perspective of a building principal.  We choose principals that are NOT in the same building as our eLearning Assistant Principals (broadening the scope).

Parents, Community Members, and Board Members

We have  parents that we call in to serve on project specific teams.  Many of our initiatives effect parents and we rely heavily on their input. We also meet with local business owners seeking their input as well.
