By the end of second quarter, students are expected to recognize 274 sight words.

EVERYDAY MATH PROGRAM The Everyday Math program teaches math a little differently than we were taught. The program spirals, which means that concepts are consistentky revisited. The program was designed to help children become lifelong mathematical thinkers.

Grades are S, D, B
S – Secure (child can perform skill independently)
D – Developing (child can perform skill with some assistance)
B – Beginning (child cannot yet perform the skill)

The program consists of games, math journal workbook pages, explorations, daily routines (such as calendar). Home Links are sent home almost daily and are designed to be completed with an adult.
