Academics

For the past eleven years, our school and district have achieved the “Excellent” by the State of Ohio.  This is a testament to our hard-working students, staff, and parents! As a learning community, C.O. Harrison Elementary School is dedicated to continuing our tradition of academic excellence in the 21st Century as members of the larger global community. In order to ensure this, our staff members nurture the growth of students’ creative talents, critical thinking skills, and problem solving abilities by providing learning experiences that emphasize interpersonal communication, collaboration, project-based activities, and technology literacy.

Our elementary curriculum incorporates 3 highly acclaimed academic programs that research has shown to be highly effective in advancing student learning. They are Guided Reading, Everyday Math, and FOSS Science.
