Business Advisory Council

What is the BAC?

Ohio Senate Bill 140 requires that the Ohio Department of Education promote and publicize to the general public and schools the best examples of school-business partnerships and school-parent partnerships. To this end, the Ohio Department of Education has organized a State Business Advisory Council Committee. In accordance with this directive, the Oak Hills School District Business Advisory Council has the mission to create and maintain effective business partnerships between the Oak Hills Local School District and the private business sector in order to support the implementation of quality methods to achieve the district’s goals. Furthermore, the BAC will encourage collaboration among the many partners in education – business, community, government, labor and students throughout the district.

The BAC exists to raise student performance levels, help define educational outcomes, which serve the needs of the employment base, and share technical and managerial expertise.

The goal of the BAC is to develop, implement, and fund programs and projects in keeping with the needs of the business and educational community of the district.
