Parents are the most important partners in their child’s educational success. At Bridgetown, we work to involve parents in every facet of their student’s education. Our top priorities at Bridgetown are to get every parent involved and to make certain that communication between home and school is fluid and two-way.
Parents can get involved in a variety of ways. Perhaps the easiest way is to join the Bridgetown PTA. The PTA offers many opportunities for parent involvement in the school. We also encourage all parents to attend Open House Night, Parent/ Teacher Conferences, and Parent Education Night. Parent involvement can be as simple as attending a basketball game or watching their student in the spring musical.
Making certain that parents can communicate with their child’s teachers is very important to the Bridgetown staff. Teachers are very easy to reach via email. Please look at the staff directory or team pages on this website to find your student’s teachers contact information. Bridgetown also sends out a weekly emailed newsletter, called the Bobcat News. Contact the Bridgetown office to be added to this list. Finally, our online grade book program ProgressBook is an important way to stay in touch. Parents have instant access to their child’s grades via any computer with an internet connection. Contact the BMS office for more information.
At Bridgetown a strong partnership between parents and school builds the foundation for our students’ continued success.
