May 5, 2016 was Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. Members of the Oak Hills administrative team and several other local school district representatives went to City Hall to witness the proclamation in support of school-based mental health read by Councilman PG Sittenfeld and voted upon by the Cincinnati City Council and Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley.
Oak Hills partnered with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and MindPeace in 2012 to offer access to mental health services in our high school. Since then, we’ve expanded the program to include our middle schools and we’re now working to bring access to mental health service to our elementary buildings. Stay tuned for more information.
