The Oak Hills Local School District’s 2nd Annual Career and College Readiness Night was held on Thursday, September 27th at Rapid Run Middle School. All students in grades 5-12 and their parents were encouraged to attend.
Career and College Readiness Night provided an opportunity for Oak Hills students and parents to receive firsthand information about post-secondary educational opportunities from Oak Hills counselors, administrators and representatives from NavTRACS, a local organization, focuses on helping families provide solutions for college funding as well as prepares students for success in college and future careers.
The event included a keynote presentation shared by representatives from NavTRACS, titled Career 101: It’s Never Too Early to Start. Following the keynote, there were several break-out sessions tailored to the needs of middle school and high school parents and students.
