As the start of the 2012 Football season is upon us, fans will have a chance to stop out and see and hear the new head coach of the Highlanders, Dan Scholz, talk about this upcoming football season with Tom Gamble and Richard Skinner, organizers of the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown. Join us on Monday, August 20 from 7-9 p.m. at the Holy Grail on Ebenzer Rd. to catch all the action.
The 2012 Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown presented by Meijer / Dr Pepper plans to celebrate the event’s 15-year anniversary in style this August. The Showdown, recognized as the nation’s biggest and longest running high school football showcase of its kind in the United States, expands to include 42 schools playing 21 games over a 10-day period.
Oak Hills with face-off with Walnut Hills on August 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Nippert Stadium on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. Tickets for Oak Hills opening game on Saturday, August 25th at 3pm vs. Walnut Hills at Nippert Stadium will be available for purchase at the scrimmage. Presale tickets are $10, all tickets at the gate at Nippert are $12.
Also, on Friday, August 17th Oak Hills will host the OHSAA Jamboree Game featuring the 2012 Oak Hills Highlanders vs. Fairfield at Betz Memorial Stadium at 7pm. Prior to the varsity scrimmage the Oak Hills Middle School Football teams will play a controlled scrimmage:
5:00 – 5:30 7th graders
5:45 – 6:15 8th graders
Admission for all Jamboree games is $4 for adults and $2 for students (same ticket is good for all games). Great night to come out and get a glimpse of the Oak Hills Highlanders Football Program under head coach Dan Scholz.
