On Friday, May 4, the J.F. Dulles Trivia Team competed in the America Answers Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl challenge. Although it was the first year that the trivia team has taken part in the challenge, they represented their school greatly. The team, comprised of 12 fifth grade students, scored 1,278 out of 1,500 answering 97 percent of the questions correctly.
The Dulles Trivia Team came in fifth place against other fifth grade teams across the nation. Overall there were 168 fifth and sixth grade teams from 33 states that took part in the challenge. J.F. Dulles will receive a trophy to commemorate their students’ achievement and each team member will receive a ribbon for placing within the top six nationwide.
Members of the Trivia Team included: Grace Bollinger, Grace Aug, Jarred Uran, Parker Niehaus, Brennan Spaulding, Sam Herzog, Patrick Tiernan, Christian Wall, Mo Ayoun, Ariana Fox, Devin Angelo, Patrick Brogan.
